My 6 year old son facing upper right side baby teeth pain issue. Due to cavity and gums issue dr suggest us for root canal. But just we want to confirm that root canal is feasible treatment for 6 yr old child. Or is there any other treatment available.

Yes, root canal treatment is both feasible and important to be done as otherwise the tooth may get decayed further and require extraction. Keeping in mind the age of the child you will have to go with space maintenence as otherwise permanent tooth will have problems in erupting. So better to act early get root canal treatment with a cap placed.

If the Xrays suggest that your child would require a root canal treatment, then the suggestion is to go ahead with it.. Pulpectomy is the term used for root canals in children.. It is a procedure to prevent premature extraction of milk tooth as every tooth has a particular age to shed off..

Yes it is very much possible & in many cases for milk tooth this is the scenario.
so don't worry,  trust your dentist & go ahead with the treatment.  if left untreated it can cause more harm in the future

RCT can be done in a 6 yr old. It is not at all risky ideally. In fact it may help in preventing infection or injury to the developing permanent tooth bud lying below it.
