Anxiety and fear
Hi doctor, It's been many years that I have anxiety and panic issues. Whenever I feel pain in any part of my body, I start to panic thinking it's a terminal disease. I keep visiting to doctors but did multiple tests and  all came normal but I still fear. Also, I keep getting anxious about any problem which face thinking of worst possible outcomes. I went to psychiatrists and they gave me sleeping medicines but I don't want to continue them forever My family keeps saying that always think positive but I am not able to. Please tell me what to do as I don't want any medicines

Hi thank you for reaching out. Our mind often functions in ways that are not logical. It’s also human to attend to negative over positive stimuli in the environment more readily. Counselling helps identify these faulty/illogical underlying thoughts and restructure them to alleviate stress. In a therapeutic relationship, the client and counsellor mutually decide on goals that need to be set and worked towards, and the counsellor educates the client on various techniques to use on their own in order to manage and navigate through their stress.

Consult a psychologist

It seems to be IAD. It needs to be treated asap otherwise it may get complicated. It needs to be addressed in a holistic way. Allopathic medicine may cause side effects and addiction. It can be treated well with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively. You need an expert Psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

Hi, The reasons causing Stress is the underlying problem that needs to be addressed to manage the same with skills and techniques under the guidance of a Psychologist. Following are some things you can do to help keep stress in check, they all have positive mind-body benefits in the moment and over time - Take good self-care of your mind and body by keeping healthy foods on hand, cutting back on sugar and caffeine, and drinking plenty of water . Exercise , go for walks . The positive effects of exercise can be felt immediately, but the stress-relieving benefits become even more noticeable over time, these healthier alternatives will become your new go-to activities for stress relief . It sounds like you're experiencing significant distress due to anxiety and panic attacks. While medication can provide relief, it's understandable to be cautious about relying on it long-term. Therapy is a highly effective approach for managing anxiety and panic attacks. In therapy, you'll learn valuable skills to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, cope with symptoms, and gradually face feared situations. This can lead to lasting improvements in your mental health and well-being. I encourage you to consider seeking therapy with a licensed mental health professional who can provide personalized support tailored to your needs.
