I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Marina Thomas Ma’am for making such a smooth, comfortable, and reassuring experience.As a long-distance runner, I was naturally very worried about the surgery and, more importantly, about my future with running. Before the procedure, I researched extensively about inguinal hernia, surgery, recovery, mesh, and almost everything related to it. The more I researched, the more anxious and depressed I became about the whole situation.But thankfully, everything went much better than I had imagined. The surgery went very smoothly, and I experienced very little pain after the procedure. He was such a nice, friendly, and entertaining person. I believe he was the doctor who administered my anesthesia, and honestly, I don’t even remember when it happened! I had a lot of fear and trauma about anesthesia beforehand, but everything went incredibly smoothly. The next thing I remember is waking up in the recovery room. I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to him! A special thanks to Mr. Sudesh, who called me before the surgery and also met me in the recovery room.I also want to thank Maani, the ward boy, and the other ward staff who regularly checked on me every few hours and made sure I was comfortable. I unfortunately don’t know the names of all the nurses who took care of me, but I am sincerely grateful to every one of them. The timely injections, painkillers, medications, and constant care made my recovery much more comfortable and reassuring.And finally, a huge thank you to Kauvery Hospital and the entire team for taking such good care of me throughout this journey.Before the surgery, I was genuinely scared about what the future would look like.
