Words are short while writing this note to express our humble gratitude to Dr. Manjunath Haridas. It's about a fatal road traffic accident (RTA) of a 27-year-old young man, one of our family members, in Whitefield, Bangalore. His friends have taken him to Emergency of Manipal Hospitals Whitefield (MHW) on accident night. The patient's right side lower abdominal, and pelvic were severely damaged, and the situation was critical.

The following early morning, Dr. Manjunath Haridas received SOS from the hospital and rushed to the operation theater (OT) because there was a requirement for emergency surgery to save the life. Unfortunately, injuries were more critical than estimated from the X-ray, CT & other lab reports.

Dr. Haridas not only assessed the actual damages inside the body but also restructured the badly deformed areas as much as possible and prevented further deterioration in the first and foremost surgery of the patient. He created the opportunity, foundation, and pathway to act on saving the life of a critically injured trauma patient.

Easier said than done. Imagine a surgeon, with no accurate information about the amount of damage inside the body, with no conventional surgery plan, enters into the operation theater, spends hours, and comes out after restraining the out-of-control situation. Such an exceptional attempt needs knowledge beyond the textbooks, experience beyond exposure, and excellence beyond competence. The best example of a surgeon and a professional with the above qualities is Dr. Manjunath Haridas; he identifies problems, figures out the best solutions, plans the treatment well, and, more importantly, executes carefully and smoothly based on the patients' response. Our patient has undergone a series of surgeries by Dr. Haridas during the long course of treatment. A couple of them were on thin ice but performed fair and square. Dr. Haridas can establish a conventional solution to any non-conventional problem.

Also, it is challenging for an emotionally broken family to handle such a traumatic situation. After Bhagwan (the God), next comes a doctor. I have consulted him in Manipal hospital Whitefield. I would like to explain the entire incident here.

My kid 4-year-old was not well. Symptoms are life cold fever and cuff, and I also had a blood test done where the CRP % was little Hight this was my issue then soon after I visit Dr Gururaj Biradar, he told we need a admission and need to admit for 4 to 5 days then it will be fine. Then he gave me admission form and he called somebody from emergency department and suggested few blood tests worth of 15k but none of the reports are +ve and the issue what he supposed to check (CRP %) he didn’t perform only. And finally, he started the treatment for pneumonia, *** **** ** *** ***** ******* **** **********

But very next day morning only my kid is not even talking to me and saw that he started swelling mostly on the face and neck region and when I try to feed him forcibly but my kid said, mom I am unable to swallow anything and my neck is paining a lot then I try to touch his neck and observed large swelling around the neck and I immediately called the doctor and trying to explain my problem but no body was listening my words * **** ******** ******* ** **** **** *********** ***** *** doctor is not willing to listen at all and finally someone suggested to do the neck ultrasound but nothing was observed and I was speechless I have no solution and no one willing to looking at my kid but I was finally hoping on god to save my kid . because I lost all hops with this Gururaj. and finally, I was checking with Nurse. The nurse said that doctor suggested to change medicine so after 20 hrs. of the issue report the nurse started with new antibiotics and with that, I observed the swelling reducing ** **** **** *** ****** ** *** ***** ** ***** *** ******* ** ************* ********* ** **** ** *** ***** ******* ********* ****** anyways the treatment continued for only swelling around the next for 4 days nothings else was done. Other wise I didn’t observe any fever in my kid and he was able to eat some food with that I managed to get the discharge and visited the doctor and told anyways whatever happened is happened and I stay in remote place where I cannot come to hospital immediately ad I need your advice incase of any fever/ any reactions after discharge and he said he cannot answer the call but he will be available for messages but after 3 days of discharge I try to message him saying that I see fever during night with my kid but I waiting for 2 days he didn’t response only for multiple messages be careful with this kid of doctors.

I am writing here this letter of commendation with unfettered total admiration and support of Dr. Abhay Kumar- Oncology Medical(Manipal Hospitals) . After being treatment with advanced prostate cancer, I had my initial meeting with Dr. Abhay Kumar(Oncology medical) and proceeded to my scheduled treatment of chemotherapy and this doctor with profound expertise and integrity, each operating under a collaborative fountainhead of knowledge, care, and genuine simpatico. His support & his staff always providing a positive and friendly daily contact relationship.

From the moment I first walked into Manipal center with some confusions but once I meet with Dr. Abhay Kumar, I was treated with kindness, respect and professional distinction. My wife Vijaya Lakshmi aged 57 years had been suffering with Osteoarthritis for 11years

since 2010. When she turned 54 her knee joints resulted in abnormal swelling and

paining. She Used to apply different Ayurvedic oils and Ayurvedic treatment. Took continuous

painkillers for daily relief. Her Orthopedician gave 3 maximum steroid Injections on both the

knees. All this resulted in temporary relief only but not permanent cure. 24×7 pain was felt in

both knees. Unable to climb steps. She stopped walking despite doctor's advice resulting into

weight gain. She stopped doing her yoga exercises as stretching legs was no more possible.

1. First we had consulted Orthopedicians in Mumbai (as we were there) who advised knee

transplantation. Thereafter we shifted to Bengaluru and since 2016 onwards we started

consulting different doctors for their 2nd opinions. All most all the doctors from the very

beginning told that she required immediate Total knee implants of both the right and left legs as

the cartridge of both the legs was worn out.

2. My son searched the Internet and concluded with information gathered based on ratings of Dr. Kumardev Arvind Rajamanya, Orthopedician, Manipal hospital, Whitefield, Bengaluru. Immediately we took appointment and consulted the

Doctor. The doctor advised immediate both the knee transplantation as it was overdue from

2016. He also told any further delay in surgery would result into bending of legs, the deformity of

which cannot be repaired thereafter. The Doctor also very positively advised that my wife can

easily go to the US after 3 months of surgery with good home Physiotherapy.

3. Thereafter my wife underwent detailed blood tests required by the Doctor. Dr. Kumardev attended immediately and planned surgery first for Right knee

on 05/07/2021 morning. She has been fasting since the evening of 04/07/21. On 05/07/21 morning at

08:00 am. She was taken into Operation Theater. We were told that my wife was given total General anesthesia and the surgery would take 2-3 hours. Right knee surgery was

successfully finished by 12:00 pm. and the Doctor told that he would take up surgery of her left

knee on 08/07/2021 based on her tolerance of pain. Thereafter in the evening, Physiotherapy

started for her and she was asked to walk with crutches. She was complaining some pain under

anesthesia effect. But later in the evening and next day it was more. But by 07/07/2021 night

The pain got reduced and got ready for left knee surgery on 08/07/21. Accordingly, she was

operated her Right knee on 08/07/21. Thereafter she was in the hospital for 5 days. She did

physiotherapy in the morning and night. She was discharged after that with instructions to

undergo home physiotherapy for 3 months. We utilized the services of Mr. Jyothi Kiran,

Physiotherapist, Manipal hospital, Whitefield who was daily morning and evening used to visit

our house and made my wife alright. He is a thorough professional in physiotherapy.

4. Our interactions with Dr. Kumardev during this period was outstanding. His timely, deeply and

advice helped my wife to gain total confidence. She started walking at home

with the support of a physiotherapist for 2 months. But started walking independently without

crutches and others support. She was fully alright by 30/09/2021

and we were happily ready to go to the USA from 08/10/2021.

5. During 6 months of her USA stay, she visited various tourist places there and walked freely

forgetting her pain that was there prior to surgery.

6. During my wife's hospital stay we found that the staff attended her were highly educative and

Hi all, today I will be sharing the knee replacement journey for my mother Mita Kanjilal (aged 67 years).

From past 5 - 6 years she was having difficulty in walking due to much work.

It aggravated to unbearable pain in the last couple of years affecting his mobility in the recent months.

It started exactly 6 months ago when I found out that my voice was getting weaker. After a few days, I started to notice that my voice became fragile, hoarse, and fatigued. So, I consulted a nearby ENT doctor, after doing all the tests, he said its Spasmodic Dysphonia (yeah, I too didn't know it then) and he told me that I may not be going to get my voice back permanently. I was so shocked to hear that because I was expecting a normal throat infection which could be resolved in a month. I wasn't convinced by that so I visited so many hospitals in Chennai and Hyderabad. Since there is no swelling, pain, or anything, all the doctors are not taking it seriously and they are just giving medicine for GERD and Cold.

It's been 2 months and still, my voice is like that only, so I started panicking and became so depressed. Every day waking to see whether my voice improved or not and finding out it didn't was making me so sad day by day. One day, I came across a doctor who specialized in these voice problems and after diagnosis, he said that it was Sulcus Vocalis (yeah, yeah, I didn't know this one too) and there is no medicine for it and surgery is the only option for that problem. I was happy because now I found a way but my father asked what happens if it fails, he said that we can't say anything now. So we consulted other doctors about the surgery and they too said it was Sulcus Vocalis and surgery is the only option for it and there is no medicine but bear the consequences in mind that you may not get your original voice and even if it succeeds now you may get respiratory problems in future. Now, all my hopes of getting my voice back died right there, this time it hit me so hard that I don't even want to consult other doctors anymore.

A month passed, it's been 3 months now and still, my voice is like that only. This time my father made me visit this Manipal Hospital Whitefield in Bangalore where I consulted Dr. Vijay Rangachari, after diagnosis he said it was neither Spasmodic Dysphonia nor Sulcus Vocalis, it was just a nerve strain and it may take some 3-6 months to resolve your problem and I assure you, you will get your voice back. I didn't believe it at first because I consulted 12 doctors so far and used their medicine still, I am here. So, I used his medicine for a month and still no improvement, now I am getting second thoughts about him and my father convinced me to give him another month and this time to my surprise, it worked and I started to notice an improvement in my voice and after next visit, my voice is becoming so close to normal.

After getting treated by him for 3 months, I got my voice back, now If I reflect on what happened is that Dr. Vijay Rangachari diagnosed my problem correctly because he has seen it from another perspective and treated it the right way with care. I very much recommend Dr. Aritra Ghosh to everyone. A very experienced surgeon who will put you at ease and definitely cure your condition. I was suffering from external hemorrhoids and fissure for almost three years. After a lot of unsuccessful non surgical treatments (allopathic/ayurvedic/homeo), I finally decided to go the surgical way. I went to Pristyn a year back, and they recommended a laser hemorrhoidopexy and sphincterotomy. They promised less pain and immediate recovery in laser procedure as compared to open surgery. Hence I went ahead with the laser procedure. However I had post surgical pain for around a week (i had to take pain killer). The hemorrhoids were cured in 2 weeks but the fissure condition remained. The fissure worsened and the pain increased. Going to washroom was literally a nightmare for me everyday.Finally after a year of the laser surgery, I went to Dr. Aritra Ghosh. He initially prescribed non surgical treatment for a week and told me that he will go ahead with surgery only if it didn't work. As there was no much effect, he prescribed an open surgery (he said he doesn't believe in laser). I was sceptical at first, but he assured me of assured results and that the post surgical recovery process won't be as painful as I was thinking. I went ahead with the surgery anyway. To my surprise, both the surgical process and post surgical recovery process was much better than the previous laser procedure. I didn't have considerable pain post surgery and stopped taking pain killers in two days. Everything is normal now and I am happy that I found the right doctor.

We(Bhargavi, Praveen ) consulted Dr. Arati Rama Rao first time for pregnancy confirmation. Dr.Arati mam confirmed the pregnancy as positive with Twins and we followed Dr.Arati mam instructions up to delivery. Dr.Arati mam helped us a lot when we faced "Cervical cerclage" problem. Based on Dr.Arati mam recommendation, we consulted Dr.Chitra Sreenivasa Murthy mam for Shirodkar stitch. And top of Shirodkar stich Arati mam helped with Pessary insertion also. All these recommendation and precautions from Dr.Arathi mam helped us to avoid Premature delivery in our case. And Dr.Arati Mam recommended to Dr.Teji Dawane mam for delivery. We were so happy with Dr.Teji mam treatment also.

Always we believed and kept faith on Dr.Arati Rama Rao mam for any situation and followed Dr.Arati mam direction without any hesitation and doubt. With all these and blessings we are very happy with healthy, cute and naughty Twin baby boys.

I was looking for best possible orthopaedic treatment for my mother’s elbow fracture after it became too complicated. She had to undergo two surgeries in last 18 months after she fell down on road and broke her ulna and radius. Unfortunately, her first surgery was done at a substandard hospital in Kanpur and ended up in implant failure, the second surgery was done at a better hospital and she was recovering but she fell down again and broke the implant while the ulna fracture was still non-union after 16 months of refixation.I had met Dr. Kumardev a month prior to this while he was treating my cousin who was admitted to Manipal hospital in emergency after a road accident. My cousin was recovering well after the major patella surgery and he had a very positive experience with Dr. Kumardev, so he asked me to discuss my mother’s case with him. I sent him details of the case on whatsapp and took his opinion on phone all, he recognised me and discussed his treatment plan at length, I asked him about cost estimate as well and I was convinced to call my parents to Bangalore for surgery.This third procedure was so much more complex when compared to last two, as it involved removal of broken implant, non-union surgery and bone grafting.
