ICL Surgery

I underwent the ICL surgery for power correction by Dr. Shraddha Goel at Arohi Eye Hospital in Dec, 2025. My experience with the hospital was great and I highly recommend anyone considering the procedure to get the procedure done at Arohi. It is an extremely simple procedure and they are very reliable and take good care of the patient through the entire process of the surgery.

Diagnostic tests, reports, Counselling – The diagnostic tests were conducted by the optometrists Manthan who was very patient and calm through the process and answered all my questions.

After all the tests were done, Yatin, Arohi’s Counsellor gave me a detailed advisory session on why ICL was the appropriate surgery for my eyes. He educated me about the different procedures including LASIK, ICL etc and made me watch videos to explain the process of the surgery in detail. He was available throughout and made sure to entertain and answer all the long list of questions I had before I felt confident to go ahead with the procedure. I commend on his patience with addressing all the queries.

Insurance support – Since my power for both eyes was above 7.5 D and I already had insurance coverage with HDFC ERGO who is one of the insurance partners with Arohi Eye Hospital, 90% of my surgery cost was approved under insurance. The best part was I did not have to do any paper work or be bothered about the insurance procedure. The hospital directly took care of it with the insurer and I simply got updates that 90% of the amount was approved for both eyes.

Surgery – On the day of the surgery, the hospital staff was very supportive. The nurses took good care of me while prepping me for the surgery. The procedure took 10-15 minutes per eye and there was minimal pain.

My only feedback to the hospital is they should increase the number of beds inside the surgery space since more than two patients can’t rest at the same time.

Follow ups – the 24 hour, and one week follow up visits are covered within the surgery cost. The doctors and the hospital staff including optometrists, nurses, and the helping staff have been very supportive throughout the process from day 1 of surgery to all follow up visits.

My overall experience with Arohi was 4.5/5.

I contacted Dr. Shraddha on watsapp through a common friend. I gave the symptoms and Dr. Shraddha was quick to understand the issue. she suggested just one eye drop to be used 4 times a day. The next morning my eyes were alright with slight reddish ness. But that also went away with complete dosage.

I am thankful to Dr. Shraddha 🙏🏻 and highly recommend her.

I really recommend doctor Shraddha as she was straight to the point and extremely professional, and solved my problem within no time :)
