ESIC Model Hospital, Basaidarapur is a government hospital in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi, and the flagship institution of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Commissioned in 1971 and spread across 31 acres, it is ISO 9001 certified and offers 600 commissioned beds alongside 150 observation beds, providing tertiary and super-speciality care to over five lakh insured persons and their families.The hospital covers around 50 specialities, including nephrology, cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, paediatric surgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery, neurophysiology, reproductive medicine and IVF, general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecological endoscopy and obstetric ultrasonology. Since 2010 it has been affiliated with the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PGIMSR), offering MD and DM courses across multiple specialities.Care is organised around preventive, curative, rehabilitative and spiritual support, with dedicated manuals for disaster management, infection control and biomedical waste management.
