Visited Dr. Satya Prakash Rai (Pulmonologist)
Had an exasperating experience when my wife was admitted at Kokilaben Hospital under the treatment of Dr. S P Rai for pneumonia. While it is an accepted practice of such so-called premiere hospitals to repeat all sorts of tests just to inflate the bill, especially if it is known that the patient is covered by medi-claim; this went a step further. They decided that a CT scan and a broncoscopy was necessary to be conducted for which my wife was made to fast (both solid & liquid) from 6.30 am in the morning. The CT scan was done at around 11.00 am and the broncoscopy was schedules for 3.00pm. However, they wheeled her into the prodecure room on around 4.00 pm, while I stayed outside. The nurse then called me to give company to my wife as the doctor was busy and that he would be coming in around half an hour. When there was no sign of the doctor even after two and a half hours, and as my wife was now complaining of dehydration, I inquired with the nurse about the doctor. The nurse stated that the doctor was busy attending OPD patients and that he would take time to come to do the procedure. As my wife could no longer bear the lack of fluid, we decided to cancel the procedure and asked the nurse to inform the doctor about the same. On this, the doctor came rushing in and started requesting that we allow the procedure to be done. When asked whether the doing of the procedure would, in any manner alter the treatment (of antibiotics) that she was already undergoing, the Doctor, unabashedly confessed that the treatment would still be the same. On be further inquired as to why he made the patient fast when he was attending OPD patients and why he didn't reschedule the bronchoscopy to another day if he was busy with the OPD patients, he had no answer. ** ** ****** ************* ** *** *** ********* ***** *** ** ******** ** ******* ** **** ********* *** **** *** ********* **** ********** ********* *** *******
Visited Dr. Falguni Parekh (Internal Medicine)
Please Please Please Do not go to her. Extremely Rude, Callous, Loud and unprofessional.
My mother was admitted twice under her care. Once in June this year for a gynaecology surgery ***** ** ********* ****** *** ********** which couldn’t be done due to detection of Aorta Arteritis and she was consulting as a medicine doctor and 2nd time now in September directly under her.
As a doctor she either speaks to her assistants when she visits your room or else doesn’t speak at all to you. Answering questions it seems is beneath her and so are all patients. You can expect her to be curt, interrupting, rude and loud in her behaviour. *** **** *** ****** ********* ******** *** ** *** **** ** ******* ****** ** *** ** **** ** ******** ********** ******** ** *** ******** *** ***** ** ******* **** ******
This time my mother was admitted directly under her supervision with breathlessness and high fever and after 4 days of treatment was discharged with cause unknown and a simple statement that she is ok now as her PET scan is clear. Please expect a battery of tests to be done wether required or otherwise. Her assistants are also such that they take your files very casually and when discharge is in morning 1030 am they shall submit the files to TPA after 5:30 pm in the evening. Of course you are charged for that day. So what huh!!
Today we consulted her again due to recurring low fever as to why this happened in just a few days after being treated at the hospital under her and were directed to our rheumatologist and gynaecologist. *** ********** ***** ******** ** ************** ******** ********* ****** *** ******* **********
Please do not consult this doctor ****** *** **** ******** ** *** ********** *** **** ***** **** ** ****** *****

My Father age 67 had chronic back pain for almost 6 months. He started limping with unbearable pain while walking. During these 6 months we consulated many doctors some suggested physiotherapy. We took physiotherapy sessions for 5 months every day. But the pain kept getting severe and we saw that he was losing control with his walk. So after multiple physiotherapy sessions and regular back MRI. We decided to book an appointment with Dr Abhijit Pawar in KokilaBen Hospital Mumbai. He was the first doctor to identify that the issue was not only with the lower back but also cervical which was even more critical. He immediately asked us to get an MRI done for neck this time and diagonised that we have to get both cervical and lumbar operated. He is a through professional , very hardworking and yet very ethical which his other patients would also confirm. After 1 month from getting operated for C3-C7 and L3-L4-L5 my father can walk upto 2 kms with ZERO pain and with ZERO support completely independent. Earlier even going to the washroom was painful. Dr Abhijit Pawar is very approachable and after having a word with his other patients his suggestion would be in the best interest of his patients. He will suggest surgery only if it is required. He has given my father a new life where his not dependent on anyone 🙏

Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
I am happy to share this review and would expect people to get most appropriate treatment from a very friendly doctor, Dr. Abhijit Pawar. I was having sheer pain with sign of emerging numbness on several parts of my right leg. With lots anxiety, I reached out to Dr. Pawar through his very helpful team of junior doctors, like Dr. Vivek and Dr. Sachin. Without any further delay, I had my discectomy done for the disk herniation between L5 and S1. From here onwards, it was simply a magic. The pain disappeared in no time. I got discharged on the very next day of my surgery. Though I was told precisely the after-surgery precautions. It’s a rest time for a month and then I am back to office. I thank Dr Pawar for his very cordial behavior and all ears listening to a person in pain, rather in distress. I also like to extend my gratitude to his team of young doctors with full of energy to hear any issues any time. They are really a team of professionally sound doctors with lots of human touch which today you seldom get in medical fraternity. God bless them.
