Many a times when we look for a doctor to get ourselves treated, we often look at their credentials, years of experience, etc. However, in most cases, at least in my experience, while all these are certainly essential, even more important and what actually helps us and heal us is the intention of the doctor and the attention that s/he gives you. The human body is not a machine and cannot be treated as such, using the same formula and same technique for each person for the same issue. Each human is unique and so are the issues being dealt with. And it is only a doctor with the actual intention of helping a patient who can spot the exact nature of the problem and customize the healing process based on the unique nature of the issue as well as the unique aspects of the patient. If you are treated like just another patient or like a check box to be ticked, then it is unlikely that the treatment would benefit you. However, if you are treated like a unique individual and the doctor actually takes out time to not only understand you, but your problems as well as your expectations and only then tailor make a solution for you, will you actually heal and benefit from the treatment itself. And this is where Dr. Vrushni steps is. Her unique ability to treat a patient like a human being and not a machine or an object with symptoms is what sets her apart. What she brings to the table is an empathetic approach and her medical expertise fused with a spiritual connection that achieves the right mix that end up in fantastic results.

I too, went to her, after visiting a lot of famous well known doctors, all of whom treated me like another person with the same problems and applied the same approach and handed me a bill with very little regard of whether or not it benefitted me or if there were any results. How they earned their name, I do not know. Publicity, fancy offices and awards now days are circumspect and should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, Dr. Vrushni was a pleasant change and in the first meeting itself helped me realise the nature of my issues in a more human way than any other doctor before her had. She set realistic expectations for me and along with her expert medical advice also imbibed in me the power of positive thinking, faith, belief as well as self care no matter the outcome. I strongly believe all these worked wonders and were far more effective than the mechanical and robotic procedures suggested by the 'famous' doctors. Not only have I achieved positive results, more than I hoped for, I have also learned the importance of these very often overlooked aspects. Medical science and technology are indeed advanced fields and offer many solutions, but applied in a mechanical robotic way, as is the style of many a doctors, do not produce results. However, Dr. Vrushni goes above and beyond just application of medical solutions and holds your hand throughout the way which adds to the healing and always gives positive results. Her soft, polite and encouraging style makes you also internally joyful aiding the entire process. She gives a multitude of options and recommendations and gives you total freedom to control the entire treatment. She is never forceful and makes a tough session much easier to bear. Her wise words and advice always work like a charm.

My mother was having knee pain since last seven years. In last two years we consulted orthopedic doctors and it was suggested to undergo knee replacement in both knees. Like many would do, my mother also kept contemplating replacement option as it is not very easy decision to undergo medical procedures. Gradually, she started experiencing intense pain and it was now beyond applying herbal oils and pain killers which gave momentarily relief.

We met Dr. Sanjeev Jain at Dr. L.H Hiranandani Hospital in Powai for his guidance and evaluation. He advised my mother for knee replacement. While meeting him my mother felt confidence as he shared all details in a very practical way. He guides patients considering their willingness, if a patient is not ready he asks them to take some time to evaluate things at personal space and speak to family, relatives or friends who have undergone knee replacement. He confidently suggests to speak to his patients also if one wants to build reference and learn their experience. Dr. Sanjeev Jain is compassionate and very practical towards his approach. He transparently shares with patients about pre surgery preparation, surgery day and on post-surgery healing and progression timeframe.

After three months meeting Dr. Sanjeev Jain my mother was all set and prepared for knee replacement. Again Dr. Sanjeev Jain helped us on decision making to undergo both legs for knee replacement. It helps patient and their family to go through the entire treatment, physiotherapy and healing process in one go rather than splitting it for two different phases. We strongly believed in his decision as it demonstrated his courage, expertise & commitment and his practical & compassionate approach for patient and family.

It took us 5 days of hospitalization, three months of physiotherapy and now my mother does all suggested exercise by herself. My mother is extremely pleased with his expertise, competence and experience and the subsequent outcome in both of knees. She feels much better now and appreciates the mobility and especially we as family love to see her enjoy a satisfying and pain- free life.

I am writing on behalf of my sister Kumud Bhatia, 58 years old & a long time Rheumatoid Arthritis patient.

For almost a decade, Kumud had deformed, painful knee joints & as a result restricted movement. She suffered a fall in September 2019 & required a Total Hip Replacement (THR). The thought of a surgery was terribly scary but we were lucky to have Dr Sanjeev Jain & his team handling it at L H Hiranandani Hospital, Powai. It was most organized, process focused & above all had attention to every little detail.

Besides the complex surgery, Dr Jain handled our fears to ensure Kumud was emotionally strong enough & prepared to deal with the procedure & also the post-operative care required. He did this by keeping communication lines open – clearly explaining the damage, procedure required, post care required, what to expect & above all thoroughly, patiently answering all of our questions. He patiently listened to what we were saying, our concerns & it is a rare quality.

Despite a successful THR, Kumud’s knee joint degeneration & deformity would not allow her to walk comfortably. But she was quite adamant about not doing more corrective surgery. It took several meetings with Dr Jain to give her the confidence to have a Total Knee Replacement (TKR) on both knees & assuage the fears she had on whether she would be able to walk independently. Every time, he took the time to talk to Kumud & clear doubts, repeatedly when necessary, because he genuinely believed a corrective surgery would make her more independent & comfortable. Because of years of pain, Kumud had restricted activity levels & a feeling of hopelessness. He really believed that corrective surgery would allow her to realize her potential so much better – very few medical professionals invest this much time & effort in the emotional wellbeing of their patients.

In Jan 2020, Dr Jain successfully completed TKR on both of Kumud’s knees. It has been 7 months since her 1st surgery. He is as receptive & patient with her questions even now in the follow up appointments & gives her the time she needs to discuss her recovery in detail.

Over & above his professional skills, Dr Jain exudes empathy & positivity. We cannot thank him enough for the interest he took in Kumud’s case, the care he gave & his honest, open communication. When a patient & her family don’t have to worry, they focus better on recovery. Dr Jain works very hard to ensure that the entire treatment & procedure is stress free.

I had lost my first baby and with the loss i lost all hopes and when i went to some local doctor i was told i had PCOD's and that it will be difficult for me to concieve again. For one year i struggled to get pregnant but dint work, finally i was about to loose the battle when all of a sudden one day my pregnancy test was positive. I went to the same local doctor and he said i was not pregnant. But I was sure I was pregnant. Then my husband got contact details of Rakhee Sahu through one of his friends and with the first Visit Dr Rakhee made me feel very comfortable she was very very patient and said that mother instints can never go wrong and she did certain test for 3 consecutive days and concluded that i was pregnant. When she was not available she made sure that she gave my case to Anita Soni and had explained her everything who sits next to her cabin. in my last month she had to go to a conference to Germany and i was about to go in labour but god knows wht happened she said she will post pone her visit or cancel it but wil deliver babies no matter what. And she delivered my babies with her own hands. Wow what a victory. I am blessed with twins.
