I was under hypothyroidism medication since past 1.5 yrs and just before visiting doctor Roshni, I had got my TSH level increased and thus my previous doctor increased dose of medicine. I was worried that inspite of taking medicine, why TSH is increasing. Then I decided to visit an Endocrinologist. I googled and I got Dr Roshni with so many positive feedbacks on practo. At the same time, I also got her reference from one of my friend and thus I decided to visit her. When I visited her for the first time she asked about my full lifestyle- eating habits sleep patterns, exercise routine, any kind of stress personal or professional and then she asked me to STOP medicine immediately and change your lifestyle and also asked me to have some supplements for nutrition and also to observe hunger/food patterns for few days. This gave me relief because I had thought that she will ask me to go some diff diff kind of tests then come back again and tab tak thyroid ka dawa lete raho :-p but it was entirely different approach and was happy that now atleast I dont have to begin my day with thyroid medicine. Since then I followed her instructions, went back to her, she reviewed my homework :-p and then gave some more instructions and now I will be visiting her again for follow-up. So now since I stopped my medicine and started following her instructions, I am feeling better, less fatigue/weakness, better pms, and giving more attention towards my lifestyle. This is the approach which I am following to treat my hypothyroidism as per her instructions, I hope this shall improve my TSH level and I shall not need medicine in future. more..
