Registered with the Charity Commissioner as a Charitable Trust, Prince Aly Khan Hospital is an acute care, multi-specialty hospital open to all communities. Prince Aly Khan Hospital functions within the framework of the Aga Khan Development Network, which is committed towards improving the health and living conditions of people in developing countries.Constantly expanding, the hospital has been adding new specialities and facilities to cater to its wide range of patients across different cities and countries. Not only does Prince Aly Khan Hospital cater to local patients but also to a large number of patients from overseas, who are drawn by its wide array of facilities, the depth of services and facilities and its excellent reputation in the medical community.HISTORYThe hospital had its humble beginnings in June 1945 as a small, sixteen-bed facility in rented premises. Then known as the 'Ismalia General Hospital', it was managed by a devoted group of volunteer working with the objective of providing free medical care to members of the Ismalia community. Over the years, the hospital grew in size until it inevitably had to shift to larger premises. This became possible in 1955, with the generous donation of the Aga Hall Estate, by His Royal Highness Prince Aly Khan, after whom the hospital is named. In 1958, the services of the hospital were opened to all sections of the public. In 1976, professional management was brought in. Over the following years, the hospital expanded its services and increased its bed strength and services in response to the growing demand for specialised health care. Today, having served the community for over sixty years, Prince Aly Khan Hospital has 201 in-patient beds, a four room operation theatre complex, an intensive care unit, an intensive cardiac care unit, a neonatal ICU, a renal dialysis unit and state-of -the -art facilities in every department. In the charitable outpatient clinics, specialists offer services free of cost. Nearly 35,000 patients are seen in these clinics annually while another 90,000 patients attend the consultation clinics, taking the number of out-patient visits to more than 125,000 per year. With its modern ambience, comfortable patient accommodation and emphasis on quality and safety, the hospital earned the coveted ISO certification. The hospital has been going from strength-to-strength, keeping abreast with the latest in healthcare facilities and technologies. Backed by a highly competent and respected team of doctors and healthcare professionals, Prince Aly Khan Hospital has chalked out a very aggressive growth path to achieve its mission and vision laid down over six decades ago.

Dr. Jamal Akhtar Azmi Sir is a highly Competent, ******* * Proficient Doctor with extensive years of experience and comprehensive knowledge in Urology. Exercising reasonable care & professionalism that dampen the aches to flakes. Passionate about his work which is evident from the way He handles & treats the patients & of course the degrees He holds outshines His Clinic. So soft spoken with friendly gesture which I think cures half of the disease. Regarding treatment:(Diagonised with bilateral renal stone, 2 in each. Kidney stone removal was a requirement from My Company, though I was not having any pain). After trying all sort of Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic medicines ,finally decided to go for Surgery.On google I searched for best Urologist in Mumbai, came across Dr Jamal Azmi Sir ofcourse with 5 star rating, I guess the only Urologist Dr with such a high rating. Luckily got online appointment on Saturday late evening, on consultation found that surgery can be done on Wednesday or later. On special request (that too when it was not a medical emergency), Dr agreed to do surgery on sunday that too when he had already planned some urgent personal household work. Glad to say that I wasn't charged even a single Rupee extra for treatment on sunday(Holiday). Unfortunately my ureter was narrow and Dr decided to postpone the surgery to avoid injuries/bleeding and put dj stent in both kidneys, gave medication and asked to come after 14 days.After 14 days got successfully operated for both kidneys by Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery.I am extremely overwhelmed with the doctors treatment and would highly recommend him to all. Such a kind & friendly Doctor who swiftly processed all the documentation procedures for the Treatment & not to forget that He prefers Patient’s Health of Paramount Importance rather than his own.
On the day of My Treatment, though He was feeling a bit under the weather & has ordered His Assistant Doctor to conduct the Treatment, He somehow managed to Visit Me in Person before the Treatment commenced. He assured Me that it (the Treatment) will be successful.
And Yes, the treatment was successful & I went out on My feet after few hours.
The follow up was also a continuous process for a week.

The services that I received from the doctor (Jamal Akhtar Azmi) was excellent. **** ****** *** ** *** **** ******* **** **** ****** ***** I had multiple stones varying in larger sizes in my kidney for which I needed to get that operated. I was under Mediclaim, and had zero idea of the procedure to go thru. However doctor and his team made sure did all my documentation and explained everything. He copes well face to face but in case of emergency ,he does not responds on phone . If anybody's patient requires an emergency solution be it medicines or some symptoms ,he is not available on phone n this may make ur patient worse for that . My view not recommendable . No hard feelings doctor .
