First of all its been three years to the completion of am I hungry, mindful eating workshop with doc Roshani. It was a beautiful journey and I am a very happy mindful Eater most of the times. I have learnt best of the techniques like scanning mind body heart, balance variety moderation, pausing for few seconds, forgive yourself for the mindless eating episodes -learn and move on, find out your exercise personality and lots more!
Let me share few recent experiences.
So ydy I had been out for a social Dinner and one of the friend (host) insisted alot to eat more and more since she was feeling awkward to continue eating as i stopped very quickly. I told her I eat this much only but still she served in my plate. And I actually ended up eating. I think I was not prepared how to handle the situation as it happened after a long time. However I have now quickly revised mindful eating and now decided to lovingly stop a friend for next time and feeling powerful to handle something like this.
Secondly, today, I was in the midst of searching one very important thing and was not able to find. Meanwhile fried chevda box came into my hand (actually it was like that dabba came walking to me) and I started eating mindlessly as I was very anxious for that missing thing. However, thanks to mindful eating practice, which is like my habit now, I realised after few bites that I am eating for no reason. This is not gonna help me reduce my anxiety!
I have lost almost 10 kg since the time I did mindful eating, and feel really grateful to you doc Roshani! Thank you
