Dr. Hemakshi Basu had done post her graduation in Physiotherapy, started her career in Jan 1994, at some of the leading hospitals in Mumbai, after which, she enrolled for a post grad Manual Therapy Course, a specialized field of Physiotherapy at University of South Australia, Adelaide. On her return joined back at Sir H. N. Hospital where she now had a special unit for treating and managing musculoskeletal patients. Hemakshi's keen interest in sharing knowledge and industry building coupled with the drive to change perceptions about physiotherapy led to conducting a series of workshops, in diverse subjects of physiotherapy. Subsequently became a founder member of the Academy of Rehab Sciences, an organization that conducts workshops to update and enhances knowledge and skills of fellow Physiotherapists.In 2001, Hemakshi eventually started her own consultation, at Juhu, wherein, over the years she has treated diverse patient profiles including leading sports, movie and television celebrities, in addition to renowned corporate personalities and public figures using an integrated approach -Evaluation | Recovery | Prevention | Enhancement.

Besides being a professional she is a great human & her team is equally professional. She tries to solve the problem at the earliest with long term resolution. Patients who come for the first time r very lucky rather than going to various doctors & spending money & taking medication which are all temporary solution. I am very lucky & fortunate to have her as my physiotherapist. May god give her all the strength & always keep her in Good health to cure as many patients she can.

Extremely disappointed **** **** ********** ******** *** ******** We paid up Rs.3500 for Dr. Himakshi's 1min. We went to be treated by her, but she just sent the assistant who must have treated for barely 10mins! Dr. Himakashi came in between for a 1min and left, and we ended up paying Rs. 3500 for the assistance's 10mins whom we dint even go for. The entire session with assistant trying to get the details of issue lasted for only 20mins. Dr. Himakshi was recommended by a Physiotherapist in Australia, hence we went to her, But its extremely disappointing to see that the name didn't match up to the recommendation provided.

My name is Smitha and I had my left arm pain for last
3 months. I had visited a physiotherapist and they recommended me to do 10 session visiting their centre . I started going there - exercise then gel massage , than I use to lie down on a hot bed for 20 minutes . I did this all for 10 days , there was no improvement .
