8 useful ways to brush your teeth. 

Hello guys, im so glad to share with you based on my clinical experience so far. i have seen so many patients suffering from sensitivity because of inappropriate brushing technique. Who is to be blamed? ignorance?

So here are some useful tips to keep your brushing alive.

  1. Always brush in front of a mirror.                      
This allows you to check your brushing technique to reach unclean areas commonly left.
  •  Dont brush more than 3 minutes. 
  • Overbrushing leads to tooth wear and sensitivity
  • Always use soft bristle brushes.         
  • Soft items dont hurt you
  • Say NO to horizontal brushing.       
  • Horizontal brushing wears enamel leaving untouched areas in between the teeth. 
  • Say NO to Powders & Gels.                
  • Powders & gels will have more abrasives which wears of your protective coat called ENAMEL. 
  • Try to use non dominant hand for brushing.      
  • Use of non dominant hand stimulates your brain and lessens the force applied on tooth. 
  • Brush the most difficult areas first. 
  • This keeps you 100% clean orally. 
  • Brush after every meal.                     
  • Especially never ever skip brushing before going to sleep.  

    If you can follow these simple tips you can save yourselves from sensitivity and pain. Do not over brush and create a problem unnecessarily. People who don't brush requires a dentist not us.
