A smile looks best when it's surrounded by smooth, clear skin. Proper skin care is most effective when you make it an integral part of your morning and evening rituals. In the morning a good skin care routine is invigorating, and at night it provides an excellent opportunity for relaxation. This isn't just about slowing the aging process, being attractive and having self-confidence; it's also about spectacular physical, mental, and spiritual health and fitness.

  1. Choose an appropriate skin care regimen, and use it twice a day
  2. Use an appropriate facial mask, and exfoliate at least once a week.
  3. Take showers when you bathe
  4. Wash your face after using shampoo and conditioner.
  5. Apply all skin care products before hygiene or hair care products.
  6. Keep your skin care containers clean and free of dust so that you don't pick up irritants from the outside of the bottles.
  7. Brush and floss your teeth before cleansing your face. The bacteria-laden plaque between your teeth can cause blemishes and irritation if it lands on your face and neck.
  8. Don't let aerosol products settle on your back, shoulders, or face.
  9. Keep your hands away from your face during the day,and be sure to clean the telephone receiver before using it.
  10. Don't pick or squeeze a blemish-this will only worsen the problem. Instead, apply an appropriate blemish treatment, then leave it alone.
  11. If you have to touch your face, wash your hands first.
  12. Use a clean pillowcase every night until the breakouts and sensitivity stop. The hair care products and natural oils in your hair may be causing the problem.
  13. Be aware that exposure to the sun, wind, chlorine, cigarette smoke, and smog can cause or worsen a breakout or sensitivity.
  14. Use  sunscreen for sensitive skin only during the daylight hours-such products tend to be drying to the skin.
  15. A good self-tanning product provides a safe and natural-looking tan. Be sure to use a specially formulated facial self-tanner on your face.
