Natural Conception after IVF Failure and Successful outcome of a High Risk Pregnancy.
When she came to us at 37 years of age, she was mentally devastated. She spent a lot of money, time and effort in IVF somewhere but unfortunately landed in early miscarriage. When we asked "What are you planning", she replied, "I won't do IVF. You try something else".
Her problem was PCOS and age.
All other factors were normal. Paying respect to her decision we offered her Ovulation Induction (OI) but explained her that OI would be difficult as she was not responding to Oral medicines (Clomiphene and Letrozole), commonly used for OI.
We started Gonadotrophin Injections for OI and monitored her response by TVS Follicular Study.
We were planning for the same treatment 2-3 months further. But she fortunately conceived after 1st month only.
Then started another journey.
Pregnancy was high risk one because of age.
There was high risk result in Down Syndrome Screening (Combined Test). However, the NIPT was normal. Pregnancy was further complicated by repeated hospital admission, Acidity and Gastritis (she couldn't tolerate iron, calcium), Thyroid disease, Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), Liver Disease in pregnancy (Obstetric Cholestasis), Liver Tumour (Hemangioma), Gall Bladder Problem (Gall Bladder Sludge).
But she was very much compliant to the advice by our team, Gastroenterologist and Surgeon.
Finally, after the long-run-battle, she is the WINNER.
Now she is enjoying her motherhood with her little angel, who kept her waiting for long time.
