All social media ads, newspapers, television gives us a message that protein supplements help in having lean, muscular body and right weight

-Do we really need excess Protein?

-Do you need to become Non-vegetarian?

You must understand how Protein works in our body :-

The human body uses the food we eat and it then breakdowns Protein into amino acids which then generates the right amount of Protein for your muscles and cells. Another myth takes a scoop of whey protein and eats a high protein meal, it goes directly into muscles.

But it does not work like this!

There are 23 amino acids, 15 of which your body can make everything but the remaining 8 amino acids are called essential amino acids, which we need to get from different foods. These 8 amino acids you can get from your regular food like cabbage, beans, green peas, cauliflower, cucumber, nuts, seeds, sprouts, eggs, and meat, which we eat on regular basis. We should have the right amount of proteins and not in excess because extra protein is stored in the form of fat and you will put more pressure on your kidneys to flush out the excess protein.

If you are consuming protein-rich diet and you are not reducing and building muscles, it means you have the vitamin deficiency and there can be the hormonal imbalance in your body.
