How do invisible braces work?

A scan is taken of the patients mouth. This scan helps us to construct the patients  records in three dimensions using a software. Using the software the teeth are realigned to ideal positions.  Once the ideal smile is created and crafted on the computer. Transparent trays or the aligners (invisible braces ) are fabricated which gradually move or facilitate the movement of the teeth. The patient wears a sequence of trays provided and the teeth gradually get pushed into alignment.

What are the advantage of aligners and are they fast?

Invisible braces use gentle continuous force that allow teeth to move fast. The trays are changed every 2 weeks so there is a continuous push on the teeth. Oral hygiene is not compromised during treatment as these trays are removed during eating.  The biggest advantage is that as the complete treatment is planned and all the trays are given to the patient. The patient therefore is independent and does not need to visit the clinic for repeat appointments every month. This makes it ideal for travelers and those living at distant places. Invisible braces is now becoming a cost effective and affordable way of getting your teeth aligned.
