These are a few false beliefs that are commonly held by many about emotions. 

One’s beliefs are slowly developed and strengthened as life is happening to them. The beliefs one has about emotions plays a significant role in how they let themselves experience them. Most of this process is orchestrated by one's subconscious mind. 

If you find yourself suppressing your emotions, looking to others for how you should feel, or feeling ashamed or out-of-control when you're emotional, you might hold some of the common false beliefs about emotions that impact your ability to experience and let go of painful emotions. If that's the case, take a moment to reflect.
