Hence it is very important, crucial and essential toscreen with PAP and COLPOSCOPY to pick up the lesion at the earliest.
SCREENING, SCREENING, SCREENING with PAP smear test and colposcopy is the only method to detect it and should be done for all women above the age of 30. It is usually done on 8-10th day of menses. In menopausal women, it can be done at any time.
Colposcopy (Kol-POS-Kuh-pee) is a procedure to closely examine your cervix, vagina and vulva for signs of disease. During colposcopy, your doctor uses a special instrument called a colposcope.
