Wisdom tooth pain
Please check the attached xray, doctor suggested to remove the lower right wisdom tooth. I'm experiencing lower right jaw pain every once or twice a month and it is causing neck pain and headaches. Please recommend if removing the tooth is the only option? While chewing food I'm hearing jaw  popping sound from left side of my face, jaw movement isn't smooth, it snaps a bit.

if the pain is so frequent, removal is the answer . but are you keeping the area clean by brushing, proper gargling ? is the area swollen? how much tooth is visible in the mouth . these factors help to decide how urgent is the removal. the popping sound is because of joint problem.restriction of jaw movement while eating, yawning may reduce the problem but consultation is advisable.

Hello, Yes removal of wisdom tooth will help with reccurent pain, but the popping sound is possibly as a result of TMJ issues. Visit a good oral and maxillofacial surgeon to assist you with both issues
