Don't do:

Hot food or drinks
Strenuous physical activity
Do:Ice pack externally

Rest with head elevated.
If you skip the medication,it will also cause poor wound healing.

If the extraction was long, complicated or if you've spitted with force within 24 hours of suregery- then healing could be painful.
If none, then sometimes mouth opeing for long during extraction also leads to discomfort later on.
Continue warm water saline gargles and hot compression for a few days.
Next Steps
If the pain doesnt resides then kindly get it rechecked and re evaluated
Was it a surgical extraction? Normally pain subsides completely within 7 days . You may talk to your dentist and let him know regarding both , the pain in the extracted area as well as in the right area too.
Normally, it takes about 2â3 days for the pain to settle. But if you're still experiencing pain even after 6 days, especially if it's not improving, it's best to consult a dentist for further evaluation
Pain on the 6th day after wisdom tooth removal can still be normal, especially if the extraction was surgical.
Sometimes the pain can radiate to the opposite side of the jaw or ear because of:
• muscle strain during surgery
• mild inflammation in the upper jaw
• referred pain from the same nerve supplying both sides
However, increasing or persistent pain may also indicate:
• food lodgement in the socket
• early infection (dry socket)
• sinus inflammation (if upper wisdom tooth)
What you can do:
• warm salt-water rinses 3–4 times a day
• take the prescribed painkillers/antibiotics
• avoid chewing on that side
If the pain is not improving or getting worse, it’s best to visit your dentist for a quick checkup to rule out dry socket or sinus-related issues.
