If you are experiencing pain in your wisdom tooth and noticing a brown layer on it, it's essential to have it evaluated by a dentist as soon as possible. The brown layer could indicate the presence of decay or other dental issues that require attention. Pain in the wisdom tooth area can be caused by various factors, including: Tooth Decay: The brown layer you're seeing could be a sign of tooth decay or cavities, which can cause pain and sensitivity. Gum Infection: Infections or inflammation around the wisdom tooth can lead to pain and discomfort. Impaction: Wisdom teeth can sometimes be partially or fully impacted, causing pain and pressure on surrounding teeth and gums. Gum Disease: Gum disease or periodontal issues can also lead to pain in the wisdom tooth area. It's crucial to visit a dentist for a thorough examination and diagnosis. The dentist will be able to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and recommend appropriate treatment. Depending on the situation, treatment options may include filling cavities, addressing gum issues, or considering wisdom tooth extraction if necessary. In the meantime, you can practice good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing gently around the area, and you may use a warm saltwater rinse to alleviate some discomfort. However, these are temporary measures, and professional dental care is essential for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Remember, dental pain and symptoms should not be ignored, as they can indicate underlying issues that require attention to prevent further complications. Schedule an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible to address your concerns and get the appropriate care.

Hello Your wisdom tooth appears to be carious and if it's causing you pain you must get it extracted. Wisdom teeth are usually placed too far behind in your mouth and are, therefore, difficult to clean. Due to which they undergo decay just like has happened in your case. As such these teeth do not have much to offer to us and once they create problem its better to have them removed.
Next Steps
visit a dentist for tooth removal
Health Tips
do warm saline rinses if no swelling

Hi. Your tooth is grossly decayed. It's wise enough to get it extracted at the earliest, before it starts decaying other teeth. AS this doesn't play any role in chewing, it's safe to get it removed
