There is no disadvantage. They will give you medicine and this will protect from infection and pain.
At time of removal dentist will numb your sensation in mouth it will be painless. For better treatment prefer a oral maxillofacial surgeon.

In right hands if you get it removed there won't be any disadvantage. If done properly there won't be any swelling or post operative discomfort. If you keep it then there might be infection, swelling and reduction in mouth opening.

Disadvantages are more only when u don't get it removed.
Yes, if the tooth is placed very closely to the nerve below (only find it in a radiograph) might cause paresthesia (loss of sensation near that region)

There are no disadvantages if extraction is done in correct way by a Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon. After surgery there will be just a small swelling for a day or 2 eventually it will subside by itself. Slight pain which will be manageable by pain killers. So go for it don't worry if a doctor has advised removal there may not be any other option to save it. So don't worry.

There are no disadvantages of getting yr wisdom tooth removed.
There is no need to b scared abt it. Talk to yr Dentist for better understanding of the procedure. It will help u relax.

there are absolutely no disadvantage in getting wisdom tooth extracted. it is a vestigeal organ in the body with no function and just like appendix get it removed when it pains first time (if have a poor prognosis)

Dont worry at all.
There is no harm in getting wisdom tooth extraction.
There will be post operative pain and swelling, which can be taken care by some good medication.
So if its hurting you, get it done.

Hello,
Visit a good maxillo-facial surgeon and get it removed.The longer you will retain these teeth,the more chances that the adjacent teeth could also get into trouble.

80% of population (according to my experience) requires wisdom tooth removal by surgery , don't be afraid of it, it is routine procedure done in local anaesthesia , for which you need not to get admitted or require bed rest, nothing
