I got an ankle sprain 2 weeks ago. Had a plaster for 5 days and now on ankle support and anti inflammation tablets. I see that there is no swollen and a very little bearable pain in the ankle. All these days I was hopping around. Can I start walking gradually. How can I start to gradually increase weight on my sprained leg.

Dont put much pressure on ankle as strength will be compromised now
First start with few strengthening exercises then you can start putting pressure on it gradually
You can get physio done for strengthening and rehab part through online or offline mode

Any ligament sprain when healed it lacks its strength , you can compare it with your another foot. To make it functional like old need to do strength training under physio guidance.
Starting of full weight bearing requires an assessment but u can shadow walk giving only partial weight if u want plus u can do icing on the injured leg with small ankle movements throughout the day. Avoid long sitting with legs down and take a gradual wt bearing journey plus for full recovery u need to strengthen the muscles around
You need strengthening exercises for lower limb. Putting more weight on affected ankle will bring more pain. Yes gradually u can put weight. Initially minimum weight. There is definitely a big difference with plaster on n walking n without plaster
