First use ice pack.. morning, afternoon and evening...
Second put crepe bandage...if it is very difficult to put your self...take help of any of your family member or a nurse
Third put your leg in an elevated position and avoid walking
This way you will be able to reduce the swelling...
Go for physiotherapy session for ultrasound that will be beneficial for the healing of the injury

Hi
With the ice pack application you need to place your ankle above to your heart level while sleeping so the flow pulls backwards to normal circulation and do ankle pumping movements.
Next Steps
do apply ice in intervals of 5 mins of ice and 1 min of gap
3 times a day
Health Tips
if you find any skin colour change in ankle do visit a Near by doctor.
