Commonly, vertigo is positional in nature, i.e. triggered by changes in position esp. Lying down/getting up or turning in bed... If so, this can be treated by repositioning manouvres (exercise)
Will need to assess your ear and other health parameters.
Most common cause of vertigo is BPPV for which dix hallpike test is needed to confirm the diagnosis and can be treated very well with few exercise and minimum medication
