Upper left gum pain
Im having upper gum pain (left first molar) from last 2 days. It is deep inside like marginal gum aria. Slightly swelling. For your information: 7 years back I had a root canal for first molar. Few months back as a regular check up dentist confirm that root canal was in a good condition. My question is - What is this condition called? What should be my next steps? Can it be related to 7 years old root canal? If yes the what is that and how to cure this.

Hello sir You might be having food lodgement below the cap of the root canal treated tooth because of which you might be experiencing pain and swelling. When you have a cap(crown) on the tooth, you have to floss that area carefully. If the space is more you can use interdental brushe accordingly.Your dentist will advise you size of the interdental brush after seeing the space.
Next Steps
visit your nearby dentist and get a checkup and xray done to see if there is reinfection.

Hi, I advise you to get a deep cleaning done in the tooth that is causing you discomfort. There may be some plaque stuck that may be causing the discomfort.

Need to see a picture of the affected area. But if it is a mild pain then it can trauma which has been due to hard brushing with toothbrush. If the pain is more it can be due to marginal periodontitis Or gingivitis which is due bad oral hygiene or food lodgement between gums and the teeth.
Next Steps
ICPA pyosan gum paint massage on the gums for 1 minute , twice daily,.hexidine mouth wash
Health Tips
Soft bristle brushing over the affected area twice daily.
