Even though your blood tests and culture are negative, it’s possible that you are experiencing a typhoid-like illness, or a post-infectious syndrome. Typhoid fever can sometimes be missed on early blood tests or masked by prior antibiotic use.

If all typhoid tests including blood culture are negative, your symptoms may be due to another infection or condition. Consider stool tests, repeat CBC, or tests for other causes like viral fever, malaria, or GI infections. Follow up with your doctor for further evaluation.
