Stomachupset, on off low fever 10 days
I am feverish internally, measured temp normal. Body temp becomes hot for few minutes then goes normal, but continues to not feeling well for past 7 days. No cold, cough. Burning eyes Not red or teary. Upper stomach heaviness.
Mild rare cramps, mild. Malaise. No diarrhea. No vomit. Able to eat.
*Had street food once before this and also could be mosquito bites.
*Typhoid dot IgM test is negative. Cbc is normal with neutrophils 71. USG shows reactive mesenteric lymphadenopathy, other normal. No dengue malaria test done. Can typhoid b false neg in early stage?? Are my symptoms mosquito bites related
Tried home remedy.
Dr is unavailable to fup due Holiday. I don't know if it's viral or bacterial. I can't afford more tests. Is it safe to take cefexime 400 for 10 days, but no culture tests done?
"Please suggest any medicine from ur side or a safe gut medicine." (no diarrhea or vomit, firm stool, normal urine, on &off less than 100 feverish)🙏🏻

Your picture fits a post-food-poisoning / viral mesenteric lymphadenitis - normal CBC, no diarrhoea, temp under 100, and reactive mesenteric nodes on USG all point that way rather than typhoid. Typhoid dot is a poor test either way; a blood culture or CRP would settle it, but with a normal CBC I would not start cefixime blindly for 10 days - that only breeds resistance and upsets the gut more. Stick to plenty of fluids, light non-oily food, paracetamol when the temperature rises. Go to a hospital the same day if fever crosses 101 persistently, you get repeated vomiting, blood in stool, or the abdominal pain becomes sharp and localised.
Next Steps
Get a CRP and repeat CBC, and a urine routine - cheap tests that tell viral from bacterial. Book a Practo consult with me with these reports and I will tell you clearly whether an antibiotic is needed at all.

Take tablet meftal spas one every 8hours for 3 days.
Tab rabeprazole 20mg one before breakfast for 5 days.
Tab oflox oz one morning and one evening for 5days.

With a normal CBC and only low grade fever, a bacterial infection is not clear please avoid starting cefixime, and a consultation would help decide whether any further testing or treatment is actually needed.

A low grade fever that lingers over a week, along with a reactive lymph node on your scan, needs a proper in-person review even though your typhoid test came back negative. Early typhoid tests can sometimes miss the infection.
Next Steps
Please see a physician for a blood culture, and a dengue or malaria test if not done yet, before starting any antibiotic on your own.

This is a seasonal variant of common cold virus leading to low grade fever and malaise and it manifest as feeling of sickness
