A Widal titre of 1:160 alone does not confirm active typhoid, and persistent symptoms after antibiotics need reassessment rather than adding more medicines. Linezolid is not a routine first-line treatment for typhoid and should not be continued or changed without culture, sensitivity and examination. Please get a CBC, liver tests and blood culture if fever persists; maintain fluids and seek urgent care for bleeding, severe pain, confusion or dehydration. Book a Practo consult with your reports today.
