There may be many factor which may have affected the results. Get your investigations done after 4 weeks Keep fasting for 8-12 hours before giving sample. If you are having fever recently that may be the reason for the error in reports so while you will going to repeat the thyroid test make sure you don’t have the illness If you have any symptoms which may bothers you please feel free to contact.

TSH value of 4.5 is only slightly elevated and is usually not dangerous. If your T3 and T4 levels are normal, this is called subclinical hypothyroidism, and in many cases, it does not require immediate treatment. At your age, if you have no symptoms (like weight gain, hair fall, fatigue, irregular periods, etc.), we usually just monitor and repeat the test after 6–8 weeks.
Next Steps
Medicines are considered only if: ✓TSH rises above 10 ✓You have strong symptoms ✓You are planning pregnancy Or thyroid antibodies are positive
Health Tips
For now, don’t panic. Just repeat TSH after 6–8 weeks and consult with the reports. It is controllable and not dangerous at this level.

It is mildly elevated and you do not need to start medicines  immediately. Repeat test after 4 weeks. Get T3, T4, thyroid antibodies, TPO tested and share results.

A TSH value of 4.5 is only mildly elevated (borderline) and in most cases not dangerous. Many people can control this without medicines, especially if T3 and T4 are normal medicines are usually NOT needed if • TSH below 6–7 • No symptoms (fatigue, weight gain, hair fall, irregular periods) • Not planning pregnancy What you can do • Adequate iodine in diet (iodized salt) • Selenium and zinc rich foods (nuts, seeds, eggs) • Regular exercise and weight control • Stress and sleep management Repeat thyroid test after 6–8 weeks to confirm trend before starting any treatment. Medicines are considered if: • TSH persistently >6–10 • Symptoms present • Planning pregnancy This level is very manageable and common. text me anytime if you need further guidance.

A TSH of 4.5 mIU/L is mildly elevated, but not automatically dangerous. Interpretation depends on: • Free T4 level • Presence of symptoms • Thyroid antibodies (TPO-Ab) • Pregnancy status If: • Free T4 is normal • You have no symptoms → This is called Subclinical Hypothyroidism TSH reference range varies by lab, but generally: • 0.4 – 4.0 is standard • Some labs consider up to 4.5 normal So 4.5 is borderline, not alarming. It is usually controllable and monitorable, not an emergency. Treatment is usually started only if: • TSH > 10 • TSH 5–10 with symptoms • Planning pregnancy • Positive TPO antibodies • Infertility • Recurrent miscarriage
Next Steps
✔ 1. Repeat Test in 6–8 Weeks TSH fluctuates due to: • Stress • Illness • Sleep disturbance • Weight change Repeat: • TSH • Free T4 • TPO antibodies ⸻ ✔ 2. Check Symptoms Common hypothyroid symptoms: • Fatigue • Hair fall • Weight gain • Constipation • Cold intolerance • Irregular periods If none → observation is reasonable. ⸻ ✔ 3. Lifestyle Support • Maintain healthy weight • Ensure adequate iodine intake (normal diet is enough) • Correct Vitamin D deficiency • Manage stress • Sleep well Medication is not always required at 4.5 unless symptoms or risk factors exist.
Health Tips
✔ Do not start thyroid medicine based on one borderline value ✔ Avoid self-medication ✔ Test in morning (fasting not mandatory) ✔ Track menstrual cycle ✔ Check family history of thyroid disease At your age (25), a TSH of 4.5 is usually manageable without medicine unless you have symptoms or are planning pregnancy. If you share your Free T4 value and whether you have symptoms, I can help you decide clearly whether observation is enough or treatment is appropriate — and if needed, we can plan proper monitoring through an online consultation to avoid unnecessary lifelong medication.
