Toothache related to wisdom tooth is quite normal. It can create swelling, pain and discomfort. you should get an oral examination done at your nearest dental clinic. He might suggest you for an OPG or IOPA. Normally tooth extraction is the permanent solution but some time soft tissue overlying the erupted tooth can also help.
Next Steps
visit your dentist for evaluation
Health Tips
warm saline rinses, 3-4 times a day, soft diet

Without oral examination no dentist will be able to treat your problem affectively. Teeth which are not fully erupted sometimes cause discomfort while chewing due to crushing and pinching of overlying skin tissue in between two teeth which are coming in contact while chewing. Or in other cases the pain may be pure eruption pain. Third cause may be of decaying tooth even before it's fully erupted. So , the actual cause of pain may only be determined upon your visit to dentist.
Next Steps
Please visit your dentist.
Health Tips
Warm saline rinses 3 to 4 times daily will not only help in abetting pain by reducing inflammation but also in keeping the affected area clean to prevent any further problems.

Dear Practo User, If pain is not bearable you can take painkillers (like Dolonex DT or Brufen) . The pain that you are experiencing may be due to third molar eruption or decay in your last molar tooth.
Next Steps
You should consult a Dentist ASAP . He/She will be able to determine after clinical examination and xray ; the exact cause of your pain.
Health Tips
Do not depend only on the painkiller and do not forget about your dental visit if the pain stops.

Dear practo user..pain during 3rd molar eruption is normal n is commonly occur due to less space in eruprion . Pain also occur due to food lodgement in erupting gingival area which causes inflammation in gingiva. Its better to visit dentist but before this u can take a pain killers n also do warm saline gargles 4-5 times in a day..

It is highly unlikely for the third molar to erupt after 21 years of age.... it can continue causing localised inflammation in the gums and the bone, which might give you the feel of an erupting tooth.... please get a proper clinical examination done by a dentist followed by evaluation of the X-ray of this tooth, so that the right treatment can be advised to you as soon as possible..... Regards.....

You should visit ur dentist once for the opinion it is always better . If its the first episode you can wait for sometime because pain may occur during third molar eruption.  But consulting a dentist is always better.

It's better to see a dentist now and xray and consultation done as earlier you know the problem better you can get it treated.  Delaying will only increase it.

Pain during eruption of teeth is quite normal. But seeing the current trends third molar or wisdom teeth do not erupt normally these days. If it is your first episode of pain you can wait for a day or two. But taking a dentist opinion won't harm you instead it will clear your doubts and prevent you from unnecessary stress.
