Hello, As a cosmetic dentist I would suggest you undergo tooth cleaning procedure first. If the stains are still present then we need to opt for procedures like bleaching or veneers to whiten the teeth shade.Regards,Dr Suman Makam,Dental arts,Jayanagar,Bangalore.

You can not remove tough plaque and tarter deposition at home. Please visit a dentist for professional cleaning. Scaling increases the life of your teeth. And teeth becomes whiter than before.

Salt should not be added in toothpaste since it acts as an abrasive material. Yellow coating you are saying must be calculus which can be removed by professional scaling (cleaning) by a dentist. So visit a dentist and get your teeth cleaned. The best thing you can do with salt is you can add it to normal water and use it as mouth rinse(rock salt preferred).

Please avoid any self medications or following any health care advises from non-certified sources. You may end up doing more harm than good. Brush twice a day..get cleaning done from your dentist every six months.

Hi Adding salt crystals to paste is not gonna do any good. It's gonna abrade your teeth and will scratch your gums. A regular 6-8 months check up and cleaning should be sufficient. Lastly brushing twice and alternate day mouthwash should do the trick. Regards

Salt crystals may be abrasive and hence not a good idea. Daily care involves just brushing twice daily .you need a professional cleaning and polishing once in 6months
