I am having a terrible gum pain and sensitivity like sensation near the teeth area. For the temporary purpose I am using pain killer to get relief from that sensitivity. Can you please suggest best suitable toothpaste and medication needed.

It's important to consult a dentist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. For toothpaste, you might consider using a toothpaste specifically designed for sensitive teeth. These toothpastes usually contain ingredients that help to reduce sensitivity and provide relief. Look for brands that are known for their sensitivity-focused toothpaste. In terms of medication, over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen might offer some temporary relief from gum pain and sensitivity. Make sure to follow the recommended dosage instructions on the packaging and consult a healthcare professional if you have any existing medical conditions or are taking other medications. However, the best course of action would be to schedule an appointment with a dentist as soon as possible. Gum pain and sensitivity could be indicative of an underlying issue such as gum disease, tooth decay, or other dental problems. A dentist can properly diagnose the problem and recommend appropriate treatment to address the root cause of your discomfort.

Pain and sensitivity are two different things. If you have pain and taking medicines and get relieved by the medicines possibility is that there would of be a carious tooth requiring RCT. Such teeth also are sensitive to hot and cold. Even if it’s a gum issue still a tooth paste is not going to help. Please visit a dentist. See if you require RCT or gum therapy after proper evaluation and radio graphic examination.
Next Steps
Check your aggravating factors and avoid them until you visit a dentist

Pain killers will not be of much help, visit nearby dentist n get thorough check up, gum pain can be  due to periodontitis/gingivitis that requires scaling followed by gingival curettage n if sensitivity is present along with it then there might be some additional problem related to teeth itself!!
Next Steps
1.mouth rinse 2 to 3 times with mouthwash until u visit your dentist 2. regularly floss specially around the particular tooth giving trouble. 3.if unbearable then u can take analgesics. 4.get a xray done to locate n for correct /actual problem. 5.change your brush ,use soft to medium bristle toothbrush
Health Tips
avoid too hot or cold food/drinks on the affected side, avoid vigorous brushing specially around the affected tooth , remember to rinse n floss regularly !! n immediately get urself checked for correct diagnosis.

As you are having pain and sensitivity,  any toothpaste won't provide you much relief. Please visit a local dentist for physical evaluation, x ray and treatment (as required).
