Tenderness after RCT
I had RCT done on one of my upper right molar and crown fixed. The treatment was done 2 months ago. But I still feel some tenderness when I push it with my tongue. No pain though. Is this normal?

Namaskaram, The tenderness following a root canal treatment is like the tip of an iceberg. It could be due to various reasons. The cause of your visit to the dentist might have been un-noticed, the tooth might be cracked from within or the tooth might be having a secondary root which couldn't receive the dentist's attention. You may consider a visit to a dentist to rule out the odds. Team Shambhala

Hello sir , kindly take an iopa of that tooth and forward the picture . There can be several reasons for the pain . It maybe due to infection in peri apical tissues for which you need to go for re rct ... But if the peri apical tissues are healthy i.e no signs of inflammation in x ray then it maybe due to the high points on the crown ...
Next Steps
consult a nearby dentist for clinical examination

Hello sir... Tenderness may be due to high points in the crown which is fixed or may be due to periapical reinfection of root canal treated tooth....you need to take x-ray(IOPA) of the rootcanal treated tooth ... if there is any reinfection then go for re root canal treatment...or else simple adjustment for high points of the crown can be done...
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for furthur clinical examination and management

Get an X-ray done for the tooth The tenderness may be due to problem in the tooth that is either the root canal is not done completely or reinfection. Better consultation can be done by dentist. High points on crown that is unable to chew from other side may also result in pain. Get it checked
