U are suffering from cheek bite due to upper wisdom teeth. Which maybe buccally (cheek side) placed and causing trauma to cheek. And finally swollen gums. So u need to clean ur gums with tooth brush or interdental brush after applying gel. But brush hurting than don't do this. U apply only gel and Also warm saline rinsing for every two hours may give you relief from swollen gums.
