Swelling in gums
My lower gums have swollen and it is constantly paining. I have been experiencing pain for last two days but swelling has started today. Please advise.

Hello, It can be because of periodontal reasons ( supporting structure of teeth) or cause of perapical problem ( problem at the apex of teeth) both have different line of treatment. If it is periodontal Problem than a scaling would help. If pulpal a root canal will help and may be some minor surgical pricedures(apicocectomy)

Hello, you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. if there is infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. Also,get a good scaling and polishing done.

May be you had bitten on any hard food object ..if not then go for professional tooth cleaning and do warm saline rinse..
