Hi If your body aches and suffocation occur due to stress but your blood reports are normal, it is likely that your symptoms are caused by psychosomatic stress responses or anxiety-related muscle tension. When you are stressed, your body releases cortisol and adrenaline, which can cause muscle stiffness, chest tightness, and a feeling of suffocation or breathlessness. To manage this, practice stress-reducing techniques like deep breathing (4-7-8 method), progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), and mindfulness exercises. Regular light exercise, hydration, and proper sleep also help reduce the impact of stress on your body. If stress is overwhelming, therapy can help you develop emotional coping strategies to prevent physical symptoms from worsening. If your suffocation feeling persists, get a lung function test or anxiety assessment to rule out any underlying conditions. Therapy can help you manage stress-induced body symptoms effectively. Our mind and body are very connected, more than what we assume/think. So it’s understandable why you feel aches and pains. If its very bothering, a psychiatrist can help with treatment. Keep in mind that a good sleep, nutritious food and regular exercise goes a long way.

There is a need for a detailed history and some of the medical conditions to be ruled out. What are the “stresses “ you go through? How long it’s happening? Duration of such episodes?
Next Steps
You may need some medications for some time in addition to the psychological interventions.
Health Tips
Be positive in your thoughts.
