Seviour pain in heel
Seviour pain get developed every day after a work in kitchen in standing position. The pain is unbearable at night.my wife weight is 88 kg. What should be the cure line of action.

See to it that your wife`s weight get reduced progressively by dietary modification and regular exercises... avoid prolong standing in kitchen... activities in kitchen like cutting vegetables can be done in sitting position ... Go for x ray of heel ...she might have spur... If anything more required feel free to consult thank you

pain in heel is common in overweight people.best solution is to use foot wear made of microcellular rubber in home and outdoor also .physiotherapy can be used to permanantly treat and avoid further occurance of your heel pain. there are some specific exercise techniques along with modalitys or machines which will help to reduce your heel pain completely. precautions include avoiding long hours of standing,avoiding brisk or fast walking.use soft mcr type chappals,perform ankle and foot exercise and self stretching by consulting a physiotherapist. if pain is not relieved after one week of physiotherapy,then you need to take xray and some blood investigations by consulting senior physiotherapist specialized in orthopedics. so dont worry physiotherapy is the best solution for your heel pain....take care.

It looks mostly Planntarfascitis. Overweight can lead to reduction in foot arches which can lead to Planatarfascitis. Do Cold Pack. Weight control will take time but with this kind of pain she wont be able to do walks. She need corrective footwear & Customized Orthotics. Hello dear...heel pain hv many reasons...first reduce weight loss ...do contrast therapy means hot (3min)and cold (2min)water application modified foot wear...and consult with orthopaedic physiotherapy...thanks

Heel pain can be due to 2 things. 1st is weight induced bony heel spur development which can be diagnosed by an Xray both Ankle lateral. Or it can be a result of raised Uric Acid which can be ascertained by a simple blood test. Weight reduction will go a long way in reducing the symptoms. Cycling and skipping dinner will help. Use slippers at home too and use soft sole footwear outside. Or there is an option of using silicone soles under the socks, which are readily available at the medical stores
