Since u r gyming
It may cause nerve compression if exercises not done in right way
Proper meds in appropriate doses may remove compression from neck

If the nature of injury is mild,take analgesic like zerodol p twice daily with muscle relaxant mydocalm twice daily,apply ice pack.
Prolonged pain and restricted neck movements are an indication for consultation with a orthopedist
Better get MRI of neck done to exclude soft tissue or injury to any supporting cartilage , ligament, muscle .
Take tab flexon m.r one every 8 hours for 5 days.
Avoid high pillow and neck bending.
Get serum calcium, vit d3 done
