Severe mood alterations
I have had issues with mood swings and lack of motivation. I struggle with activities like getting out of bed showering and even doing critical tasks. Every time something is missed or someone corners me I feel like a switch is flipped and my mood changes drastically. This has made retaining friends, impossible. I have crippling anxiety with teeth chattering and grinding and palpitations with chest tightness on some occasions. Social anxiety cripples me so bad I am struggling to even put myself up for a doctor's appointment to get help for the same. It feels like my mind is both pushing me to get things done and yet at the same time failing to make my body obey the commands. It's nerve wracking to focus on things and I can't seem to finish a single training video but I spend all day watching silly c-drams with the same plot over and over again. Please help!

Hi Ok, let’s see. What you’re describing points to high-functioning depression with anxiety, possibly leaning toward atypical depression or a mood disorder. The push-pull you feel—wanting to act but being stuck—is classic in such conditions. The mood flips, social anxiety, palpitations, and inability to follow through on tasks show your system is overwhelmed, not lazy or weak. You need a structured treatment plan: a psychiatrist to stabilize your symptoms and a psychologist to help you build back control, step by step. Start small—maybe book a teleconsultation instead of an in-person visit to break the cycle. You’re not broken. You’re just stuck. And you can come out of it. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

Hi, thank you for sharing what you're going through - it takes courage to open up like this. From what you've described, you may be experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and possibly features related to ADHD or a mood regulation issue. The difficulty in initiating tasks, mood swings, low motivation, physical symptoms of anxiety, and focus problems can feel overwhelming, but you're not alone and help is available.
Next Steps
1. Please consider seeing a mental health professional (psychiatrist or clinical psychologist). If making the appointment feels difficult, ask a trusted friend or family member to help you set it up. 2. You may benefit from a structured evaluation to better understand whether this is depression, anxiety, ADHD, or something else. 3. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and/or medication might significantly reduce your symptoms.
Health Tips
a. Start small and gentle: Even getting out of bed and brushing your teeth is progress on tough days. b. Avoid self-blame - what you're experiencing is real, and it's okay to seek help even if you're not fully sure what’s wrong. c. Please don’t hesitate to take that first small step by talking to a professional.

Sorry to hear that youve been having a difficult time. Emotional dysregulation, executive dysfunction and avoidance of feelings by binge-watching are all symptoms of an underlying emotional difficulty. Anxiety itself can be a symptom of inner conflicted feelings. Dealing with them through unhelpful coping mechanisms is rarely helpful. Reaching out to a trained professional will be helpful.

Hi Ma’am. I see you are suffering alot. I would highly recommend you to consult a psychiatrist. Since you are also experiencing physical symptoms, it means the issue has escalated quite alot and feels like you’re in a lot of pain. Please do consult as soon as possible. Things will get better.
