Hi, I have a 7 mm partial tear in subscapularis muscle and 3.7 mm partial tear in supraspinatus muscles in my right shoulder. There is no swelling but mild pain while moving the right hand in an upward direction. Rested for a couple of months but didn't notice any improvement. Can it be treated with physiotherapy or surgery is the only option?

A partial tear in the shoulder muscles causes mild to severe shoulder pain and limited range of motion. Physiotherapy can often treat it through targeted exercises and modalities. However, the effectiveness of physiotherapy depends on factors such as the severity of the tear, the individual's overall health, and their commitment to the prescribed treatment plan necessitating consultation with a healthcare professional for a comprehensive evaluation and personalized treatment recommendations.
As it is partial tear, it can be healed through physiotherapy.
Consult nearby expert physical therapist and start the treatment.
Give rest as much as possible,do icing twicing a day, avoid pressure to the shoulder.
