Replcapping on teeth
Hi I had a leaking cap issue in my RCT. I went to some other doctor and got a new cap. the other doctor did some treatment to get more teeth out of gum for cap. My new cap is non metallic and the expensive one (machine made) it's been 12 days but still I sometimes feel pain what to do. Should I wait more and keep applying gum paint or what

Mam this usually doesn't happen 12 days after placement of cap so if it happens then there is some underlying issue , either the cap fitting is not proper or there is some issue with the rct .
Next Steps
visit the same dentist and ask them to rule out the cause with the xray and with the occlusion

Experiencing pain 12 days after crown replacement and crown lengthening may indicate an underlying issue that needs attention. Here's what you can do: 1. Contact your dentist: Reach out to your dentist or dental specialist who performed the procedure to discuss your ongoing pain. They can evaluate your symptoms, examine the affected area, and determine the cause of the discomfort. 2. Monitor the pain: Keep track of the intensity, duration, and location of the pain. Note any additional symptoms such as swelling, sensitivity to pressure or temperature, or changes in the appearance of the gums or surrounding tissues. 3. Follow post-operative instructions: Ensure that you are following any post-operative instructions provided by your dentist, including taking prescribed medications, maintaining good oral hygiene, and avoiding certain foods or activities that may exacerbate discomfort. 4. Apply cold compress: If you experience swelling or inflammation, apply a cold compress to the affected area for short intervals to help reduce pain and swelling. 5. Avoid pressure on the tooth: Minimize chewing or biting on the affected tooth to prevent aggravating the pain or causing further damage. 6. Consider a follow-up appointment: If the pain persists or worsens, schedule a follow-up appointment with your dentist for further evaluation and treatment. They may need to adjust the crown or address any underlying issues causing the discomfort. It's essential to address persistent pain or discomfort after dental procedures promptly to prevent complications and ensure optimal healing and recovery.

Hi Even after taking pain killer and antibiotics prescribed during your RCT treatment if it stills pain so it’s better u see the doctor who did the RCT. It might be possible that there is some micro microleakeage or else the cap must have not fitted properly . My suggestion is to visit the same doctor who did the RCT and if possible get a X-ray done to see the the RCT from inside. Thanks
