I recently had an rct for a lower molar tooth, after first couple of sittings there was a bit of pain so dentist had to remove the filling and re clean it, got the capping done after 1 week when pain completely subsided , the doctor cleaned the roots before filling and fitting the crown. Now it feels quite heavy, the upper and lower tooth touch with pain and pain (dentist filed the upper tooth as well to make the cap fit well)while eating, on pressure it pains and the gum below rct tooth also pains on touch and feels uncomfortable. Should i get the capping done removed ?

Hello sir,
The history given seems there is issue with the fit of crown. There might be chances of high points present which needs to be corrected clinically.
So, do visit your dentist for proper evaluation of the situation
The crown is having high points, and also the margins of the crown might be sharp that’s why you are getting pain near the gum
Next Steps
You can 1st get the crown removed followed by x ray of the teeth for checking if the RCT is correct or not followed by new crown placement because the previous one isn’t correctly fit to seal the margins
Get the high points trimmed by the clinician.. There should not be any pressure point while closing mouth... Check up for any food lodgement under the crown.. So that gum below crown doesn't get inflammed Or swollen
Next Steps
dont bite hard food till it gets corrected
Health Tips
visit the dentist for reducing the height of crown..
Reducing high points.
A proper seal is required after fitting the crown as food lodgement may cause further decay and prosthesis failure.
If you feel food is getting stuck contact your dentist
