Capping tooth
Hi, my one of the lower tooth from behind is missing from last 15 years. No issues till now But due to worm its adjacent tooth needed RCT which is done. Now I am confused for capping part. Does capping needs to be done only for RCT tooth as till now I dint face any distortion issue because of missing tooth and for how long it can go or it needs to be done in all 3 teeth. Please please guide I have taken consultation from many doctors everyone has different approach.

Hello ma'am, Post Root canal treatment, crown is recommended to protect the brittle tooth, restore function, prevent reinfection, and preserve its structure, ensuring durability and overall oral health.

Opinions are going to vary.. if it’s an intact crown without any cavities even partial crowns are sufficient .. don’t need full crowns

Hai Usually capping is given for root canal treated tooth If tooth structure is very less they might have done post and core so that tooth will have very very less strength To provide enough strength they might have give capping to adjacent teeth . And there might be another reason too You have missing tooth since 15yrs means that may be extracted during your childhood itseems.  So that the adjacent tooth might have drifted to that missing tooth space To understand better please share your full mouth xray

If implant is possible then go for implant at the place of missing tooth and the single crown for Root canal treated tooth. If there’s no enough bone for implant then go for bridge. Better to treat the tooth before placing the bridge.
Next Steps
Either with your reports get a video consultation or visit a good dentist.

Hi there Whenever there is a missing tooth it always disturb the occlusion and the realisation happens much later So it’s always advisable to replace the missing tooth with the help of a bridge or implant or removable partial denture . Though implant is first choice but many times due to narrow ridge implant may not be a good option so in that case you can opt for a bridge . Decision is subjective .
Next Steps
Get CBCt done to check weather implant is possible or not
Health Tips
Bridge or implant Go for any
