You need to keep a track of pulse and blood pressure for one week. Measure both at the same time twice a day for a week. If it remains on the higher side yoy definitely need to get certain tests done like ecg, thyroid profile, cbc. Please consult for further discussion

Normal pulse should be between 60 -100 bpm
Get a consult as it is not normal. Possible causes could be fever ,dehydration ,anxiety, heart related problems.
A pulse of 180 bpm for a whole day is very high for an adult. Even if the person feels fine the next day, such sustained tachycardia can strain the heart and may indicate an underlying issue (like arrhythmia, fever, dehydration, or thyroid problem). It’s advisable to get evaluated promptly rather than ignore it.
Next Steps
You should do ECG,CBC,esr, crp, tft, even 2d echo if required, follow up required
This pulse rate is not normal,
It could be due to many reasons
Check ecg, regular monitoring of vitals.
Some history is required do consult directly through practo

180 bpm is not normal heart rate, even for one time. It should be probed to know why.
Get Haemoglobin, thyroid profile, ecg and cardiac 2d echo done and share results.
When the heart beats that fast for hours, it can’t fill properly between beats. That leads to poor blood flow to the body and the heart muscle itself, which can cause ischemia (oxygen shortage) and heart muscle fatigue. So maintaining 180 bpm for 20 hours can weaken or damage the heart and needs evaluation preferably an ECG and echo to determine the cause.
180 pulse per min is definitely abnormal....
You should take consultation from doctors.....
Need to further evaluate regarding.... Cardiac arrhythmia or else some anxiety related issues.
Next Steps
proper consultation from doctor (internal medicine), cardio

A single day of fast heartbeat (around 180 bpm) usually doesn’t weaken the heart if it settles and you feel fine now, but it’s best to get an ECG and echo once to rule out any hidden rhythm issue.

Definitely a pulse rate of 180 is not normal at all
Normal pulse rate is 60-100 beats / minute
If it extends beyond 100 then need to innervent
This rate of 180 might lead to cardiac arrest also
May try valsalva maneuver at home to reduce the rate
Next Steps
ECG | 2D Echo
Health Tips
Other non cardiac causes may be :
Anxiety | stress | panic attack
Hyperthyroid | Anemia |
It might be due to some non cardiac causes like anxiety or Hyperthyroidism but you should Immediately consult a physician/ cardiologist for further evaluation.
Get your lipid profile done and along with reports visit the Cardiologist in person. Cardiologist will prescribe you the Antihypertensives medications if required and do Ecg and if required 2d echo of heart and will prescribe the medications as required.
A sustained heart rate of 180 bpm for nearly 20 hours is not normal and can put significant strain on the heart muscle, even if you feel fine afterward. This could be due to conditions like supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), anxiety, dehydration, or an underlying cardiac rhythm disorder. While one episode may not permanently damage the heart, it can weaken it if it happens again or remains uncorrected.
It’s very important to get an ECG, echocardiogram, and thyroid profile done to rule out serious causes.
