During stress or panic, heart rate can fluctuate due to changes in the autonomic nervous system. A brief drop to around 60 bpm is usually due to increased vagal tone or relaxation between anxiety surges and is generally normal if you are otherwise healthy
Next Steps
Try to calm yourself with slow deep breathing and observe if the heart rate settles. If these episodes are frequent, prolonged, or associated with dizziness, chest pain, or fainting, get an ECG and clinical evaluation done.
Health Tips
Avoid repeatedly checking your pulse, as it can worsen anxiety. Reduce caffeine and ensure adequate sleep. Seek urgent medical care if you experience severe symptoms like syncope, persistent palpitations, or breathlessness.

When you suddenly feel stressed or anxious, your body reacts very fast. First, the heart rate goes up because your body thinks it needs to “protect” you. After that, the body sometimes over-corrects, and the heart rate can briefly slow down for a few seconds. That is why it dropped to around 60 and then went up again. This kind of up-and-down heart rate is very common during anxiety or panic and is usually not dangerous, especially if it lasts only a short time and you feel better afterward. Anxiety itself can make you notice your pulse more than usual, which increases fear and symptoms. If this keeps happening often, or if you feel fainting, severe chest pain, or shortness of breath, then it should be checked further. This is most commonly due to anxiety/panic. Stress hormones increase pulse suddenly, and when you calm down, the pulse can briefly drop to 60 — this is normal and harmless in young people. Rx: Deep breathing, avoid caffeine You may consult me on Practo or a psychiatrist for proper evaluation.

Pulse 100 is within normal range, so no need to worry. De-stressing is very important Stressing about things that are not under your control will not help. Spend 30 mins everyday in doing activities that help relieve your stress.

You should do nothing. Or else you should get a Holter monitoring done under the supervision of a General Physician. A diagnosis is required before we plan treatment.

It's quite normal to have mild variations in pulse between 60-100. It aggrevates during anxiety, panic attacks and reduces during sleep. If it is in this limit no need to worry. Practice some meditation or distraction strategies to reduce anxiety. If it goes beyond normal limits u can get ecg to rule out arrythmias and do consult a physician. If u have recurrent episodes of anxiety then better to have a therapy session with psychiatrist.

Slight changes in the pulse rate due to physical activity, emotional disturbances, mood variations etc is possible. So most likely it is normal. Just to be sure and to clear your anxiety you can get an ECG done. If the issue persists we can opt for further evaluation by a physician.

The symptoms you are describing are mostly due to anxiety and panic attacks. It is best that you get yourself properly evaluated by a psychiatrist. If it is anxiety, you would need to find the reason that is causing you anxiety. Treating with medicine only would help you temporarily, but it would not solve the underlying problem..
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist

Pulse rate and Blood pressure are variable parameters and they vary as per the mental status. These are protecting mechanisms built in the body for protection of the delicate cells and organs of the body.
Next Steps
Whenever you face any difficult situation or stressful situations do deep breathing and say All is well. It really works.
Health Tips
Normal pulse rate for humans is from 60-100. So 60 is the base line pulse rate when you are relaxed so nothing wrong about it. Try relaxing techniques like yoga or meditation so that you will rarely see your pulse in triple figures.
