Recurring pericoronitis
The gum surrounding my lower wisdom teeth gets infected once in a while. I was suggested to extract both of those teeth. But I kept putting it off because of fear of getting my teeth pulled. Now, I have a really bad case of pericoronitis that even my jawbone is hurting above which the affected tooth is located. Is it possible to get my tooth removed as soon as the infection clears up? Or will removing the gum flap work instead of extracting the wisdom teeth?

Hello ma'am, yes you can go for extraction. Please share your radiographic and clinical photographs. Only operculectomy (flap removal) will cause recurrence in future so better go for extraction but before going for it x-ray evaluation is necessary. Visit the clinic.
