Query about RCT treated tooth
Hi,
I have got the last sitting of RCT done on upper last second molar 4 days back and a permanent filling over yet. Crown is not yet placed.
I haven't yet started eating from the RCT side but when accidentally biting or joining teeth, feeling a little pressure sensation but not exactly pain on that tooth. If I explain, it's like something getting pushed a little and getting released. Wanted to check is this normal and would subside ?

This usually subsides in few days. If it persists visit your dentist. I would like to reinforce the fact that getting a crown after RCT would be essential to avoid further problems. Hope this helped

Don't worry.

Hi. I understand that you are feeling slight pressure on that tooth while biting. It can be because there might be a few points interfering with your normal bite. As in those points on your tooth will be at more height as compared to your normal bite hence while biting that tooth comes into contact first as compared to the other tooth and therefore the pressure. We usually reduce the height of the tooth post RCT and then move forward with the capping procedure. I would advice you to get the same done by your treating dentist.

It’s normal, but visit your treating dentist one can examine Clinically. Get Crown done as soon as possible and this discomfort will go soon.

it has been just 4 days wait for a few days it should subside and if you still feel discomfort get an x-ray done and visit the dentist again. you should also get a crown done to avoid any further damage to the tooth.

Hi mam/Sir this is usually normal, some patients do feel some discomfort even after doing RCT ... that's why we put temporary cement after RCT to check if the tooth is symptomatic or asymptomatic...let's wait for 2 or 3 days ...before taking measurements for crown , please do check again and proceed your further treatment..

Hi,
There may be small points on the filling that are interfering when your teeth come in contact. Suggest you inform your dentist and get it reduced to avoid this discomfort.
