Is there any history of fall or infection or history of previous joint pain?it can be sprain or fracture or infection or any inflammatory joint disease.is there any warmth or redness suggestive of cellulitis with pain?Any varicose veins?

Go to a Gp and consult .Do a CBC ,CRP and X-ray foot.check for varicose veins

Keep foot elevated.apply ice.use a crepe bandage to immobilize the foot if fractured.if there severe pain use a pain killer only if extremely necessary.Dont put pressure on foot if you suspect fracture.use crutches if you can’t walk
